"I paint life's joys. I feel truly blessed to be able to create and share happiness through oil paint. My visual stories are revealed through impressions of city, boat, beach, and other memorable scenes."

Painting Process

Daly uses both direct observation of nature and imagination. To start a painting, he visualizes the idea then lets his heart and mind capture a strong sense of light, color harmony, and confident brushwork. Daly has traveled worldwide to learn and grow. His goal is to create joyful, memorable, timeless art.

Mark was taught to draw at an early age by Elizabeth Daly (his mother) and Woodhull Young (Curator of the Vanderbilt Museum). More recently, CW Mundy has mentored Mark in oil painting.

Mark is represented by prestigious galleries and has exhibited in many shows (solo and group). His work is in distinguished private, corporate, and university collections, worldwide. He has received prominent awards in national juried art exhibitions. Mark has studios in Maine and Ohio and travels worldwide to paint.

He is also Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA), Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club, Artist member of the Greenacres Artist Guild, and a member of Oil Painters of America (OPA).

He has a business background, is author of Ten Treasures Strategic Playbook: The Map to Enduring Business Success and Five Steps to Board Success. He has served on many business and not-for-profit boards.
