Mark's Art Journey

Mark has traveled many miles on the canvas, road, ocean, and within to experiment, learn, and grow as a painter.

He creates in the studio and on location. Painting on location helps Mark see and hear beyond the exactness and stillness of a photograph. Being in-the-moment, values, colors, and sounds are more fresh, pure and noticeable. However, it's the spontaneous conversations with nature and the connections with people that he treasures most. The studio provides time to work on paintings and develop them to a more thorough completion. Experience from painting on location helps to create studio work that rings more true.
